WILLIAM JOHNSON

Supervised pre-k to older elementary children while their caregivers attended service. Always accompanied by a partner under direction from church coordinator Kirsten Bieri, we have led bible study and worship activities for these young worshippers.

After gaining licensure to officiate with the Indiana High School Athletic Association, I have collaborated with other licensed officials to uphold guidelines set by the state in how to administer sporting events. This experience has taken across the city and grater areas of Indianapolis, and has exposed me to many important individuals in the realm of collegiate athletics.

Facilitated multiple high level baseball contests under assignment from collegiate and professional umpire Derek Whitfield. In my time here I have picked up on what it takes to coordinate and mobilize dozens of working officials in a healthy work enviornment.

• Officiated sports events with strict adherence to rules, ensuring fair play and maintaining high standards of professionalism while managing game flow
• Monitored game activities, enforced regulations, and made split-second decisions while documenting infractions and maintaining detailed match records
• Coordinated with fellow officials and event staff to deliver seamless game experiences, resolving conflicts and ensuring participant safety

• Balanced rigorous academic schedule with competitive sports, maintaining high performance in both areas while developing leadership and time management skills.
• Learned to identify my role on each team and tried to fulfill my responsibility of being the best player and teammate I could be.
• Have experience of being a team captain and having others look to me as an example. I am familiar with how carrying oneself on a team can be influential in terms of body language, attitude, and willingness to sacrifice for the greater good of the group.
