  • Everything from cleaning screws to complete disassembly, repair and reassembly of steam and gas turbines, generators and all corresponding auxiliary equipment. As a millwright I was involved in every part of the process, even overhead crane operation at times. Rebuilding turbines and generators requires the utmost precision and attention to detail. When dealing with parts that weigh up to 60 tons that have tolerances of .001 of an inch or less, use of precision measuring equipment is a must. Items like, inside, outside and depth micrometers, snap gauges, magnetic based dial indicators, feeler gauges, calipers, squares, thread gauges, v-blocks, adjustable parallels, BLUEPRINTS, diagrams and more were commonplace. I take pride in my ability to maintain the tightest tolerances in my work and I carry that with me to every job.
