My background includes twenty-five years of developing relationships with children and families. I have experience in all ages of early education, birth to five years old. I have created developmentally appropriate activities for various ages. Also, I have experience in curriculum development, case management, collaborating with a team/therapists to create goals for a child and have led staffings to include families and case workers in treatment process. Because of my experience in early childhood I have extensive knowledge of child, growth and development that would be beneficial for this position.

* Utilize creative skills by planning developmentally appropriate activities as well as creating a stimulating environment for 2-3 year olds.
* Maintain good communication with families by providing weekly updates, basic assessments twice yearly, and daily messages if needed.
* Manage classroom through routine, structure and mix of planned and unplanned activities.
* Planned and implemented developmentally appropriate activities for children that experienced abuse, neglect and/or trauma.
* Maintain and manage children's cases in collaboration with families and case workers to help support the needs of each child.
* Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists and play therapists to develop goals for each individual child.
* Developed update reports for each child to share with therapists, families, and case workers.
* Able to adapt to various age groups, classroom settings, and meet the challenges of diverse child care demands.
* Provide weekly teacher schedules that correspond to the needs of the children in the center and meets licensing standards.
* Assist in center marketing through center tours and phone contacts. Highlight documentations about center happenings and distribute throughout campus.
* Review lesson plans to ensure that NAEYC and developmentally appropriate practices are met.
* Assist with interviews and orientation of new employees by educating on procedures, routines, and communication skills.
* Create staff development training for teacher to gain skills to utilize in the classroom.
* Model professional work ethic by maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality.
