Accomplishments

  • Selected by Superintendent to open Longview Farm Elementary as principal with the expectation of weaving 100 year-old history and tradition into a 21st century, state of the art, elementary school.
  • Piloted district program Promoting Academic and Social Success (PASS) focusing on students with significant learning challenges including autism, Asperger’s Syndrome and processing disorders.
  • Implemented all six components of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) throughout engaged work amongst all stakeholders.
  • Maintained academic achievement results at or above state expected levels as evidenced by Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) during years of elementary principalship.
  • Led school resulting in 11 teachers being chosen as Teachers of Excellence.
  • Honored with establishment of scholarship recognition for alumni of Longview Farm Elementary upon high school graduation called the “Dr. R. Legacy Scholarship.”
