  • I create loads based on size and weight of the units being hauled. I maintain accurate records on the trucks, that each driver has bid.
  • I dispatch the drivers and provide any additional assistance to make sure the drivers are all able to legally and safely deliver their units.
  • I have a team of 12 union employees who directly report to me
  • I am responsible for helping my team meet company goals, improve damages, discipline for attendance or any other reason. Im a single point of contact for these individuals to communicate with when they have questions or concerns.
  • I handle safety for our workforce. I have monthly safety meetings that are tied to the weather and company focal points.
  • I update OSHA paperwork and make sure they're posted.
  • After an accident or injury, i handle the paperwork, causation, remediation and provide retraining as necessary.

  • I would audit various terminals to ensure the proper equipment was being utilized.
  • I traveled for about 2 years to various terminals, where i introduced them to our new systems.

  • I had many different roles with UP.
  • I have been a driver, janitor, general yard office assistant and finally a yard office coordinator.
  • The yard office coordinator supervises the yard office and up to four hundred individuals on any given day.
  • The YOC is responsible for providing paperwork for the train crews, which allows them to transport freight legally.
  • I was also responsible for dispatching and supervising the drivers, who transported the crews to their train.
  • The YOC also coordinates communication between the yard masters, command center, managers, and the train crews
  • We created and maintained several documents to track the trains and where the drivers were dispatched to swap out crews.
  • I've received shipments and inventoried the various supply rooms.
  • We maintain office equipment and stock the supply stashes in the office.
