  • As a member of the Executive Leadership team, I was responsible for overseeing a team of nine people in matters related to operational tasks in the areas of benefits/wellness, compensation, retirement and HRIS.
  • Early on identified various processes that needed to be improved and possibly eliminated, resulting in time and money being saved across various departments.
  • Launched the wellness program that includes preventative screenings and sessions that align with seven wellness pillars with consideration of DEIB. Saw an increase in preventative screenings completed within one year and a decrease in urgent care/emergency room visits. Participation in the wellness platform increased 65% within the first year of launch.
  • Developed retirement sessions for two retirement programs.
  • Encourage communication across all HR teams and payroll by establishing bi-weekly meetings and information online platforms.
  • Continuously led cross-functional working groups that are focused on improving operational processes between human resources and other departments (finance, legal).
  • Strategically partner with IT to implement technology that allows human resources and other departments to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Worked with talent/recruitment to implement a new applicant tracking system (ATS) that streamlines the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes. This change eliminated paper transactions 100%.
  • Rolled out a job reclassification and creation process within six months of being in role. This allows compensation to properly analyze each request and move the process along quickly and allows managers to start the recruitment process. Completed a salary study to evaluate leveling across the College in comparison to other Colleges and/or Universities in the area.
  • Lead the efforts to review payroll and HR related shared tasks to reduce errors and save time. Implemented employee self-service features that remove time-consuming tasks from payroll and HR, such as all benefits enrollments.
