• Students work with the Missouri Botanical Garden over a 8 month period to develop, lead, and execute a research project of their choice based off a current issue in Food Science, Soil Science Horticulture, Ecology, Environmental Conservation, or Sustainability.
• Collaborated with experts in horticulture to learn about the current problems in the agricultural field, such as food loss and waste and climate change.
• Presented my work to my peers, teachers, and experts in Environmental Sciences and Agriculture at the Missouri Botanical Garden.
• Gained first-hand knowledge of the challenges being presented to agricultural and environmental scientists in the industry right now, and learned how to carry out scientific research from start to finish.
