Hobbies and Interests

I am passionate about pediatric nursing. It has been a goal of mine since high school, and the main reason I got into nursing. During my nursing career, I plan to become specialized in pediatrics or neonatology. I love working with children, and being involved with the recovery process. As a healthcare professional, I've seen how nerve-wracking it can be as a patient in the hospital for people of all ages. In pediatrics, I can help provide emotional support to children and their families. I have strong relationship building skills, and I always aim to deliver the highest quality of care. Having direct interactions and building meaningful relationships with the children receiving care is what appeals to me most about pediatric care. I am excited to foster trust between the patient, the patients family and I as I transition to the role of a NICU nurse.
