Summary

I’ve been in the social work field for approximately a dozen years, including working for several years in the government sector and at least 4 years of private agency work. I have learned many skills in the areas of case management; however, I’m also eager to learn and explore other populations that could benefit from my knowledge and experience.

Accomplishments

The research that I accumulated and reported in my final year of school, while interning with two agencies, both providing services to foster parents, one government and the other private, was later used to implement a new department within the department of children and families that would specifically be utilized to coordinate and lead family and service provider team meetings immediately upon the departments involvement with new clients. With these types of strength-based meetings, problem-solving was self determined and allowed for those involved to be more involved in the dealing of their cases, tailored specifically to their needs.
