At 16 years old I had to drop out of high school with only 3.5 credits to graduate. My father took ill, and he needed me to step up which I did happily. Before he passed, I promised him I would go back. I followed through and became my family’s 1st college student. I didn’t have anyone to assist with my applications for financial aid and I can remember it was challenging. I would truly enjoy assisting other with these types of concerns. Also, I have over 15 years of experience working with children, young adults and families and feel very passionate about education. I am certain I can positively encourage students to achieve their educational goals.
