As a General Manager at an event venue, I am responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring the seamless execution of events.
This includes managing, coordinating, and training all staff from bartenders to event managers, planning and maintaining their schedules, and ensuring adequate staffing for all events. I work closely with multiple vendors to ensure smooth coordination for large-scale events, from catering to AV services.
Additionally, I manage inventory, track supplies, and maintain a high standard of customer service, ensuring each event runs efficiently and meets client expectations.
In addition to my current role, I oversee tours and sales at the venue, working directly with clients to showcase the space, answer questions, and secure bookings.
I managed the schedules of over 25 freelance writers and photographers, ensuring deadlines were met and content was delivered on time. I planned editorial agendas, scheduled meetings, and coordinated two advisory boards to drive editorial direction. In addition to writing articles and blogs, I created and published social media content to engage readers.
I was responsible for planning and managing large corporate events, as well as overseeing the creation, publication, and management of story ideas and pitches for two magazines. I also played a key role in planning, assisting with, and styling photo shoots, while managing production timelines to ensure smooth workflow and timely publication.
I worked directly with patients and doctors, gathering chief complaints and medical histories while collecting vitals and performing patient work-ups. I served as a scribe for the doctor, accurately documenting patient information and treatment plans. I conducted various diagnostic tests, assisted in minor procedures, and managed the LASIK technician role.
Additionally, I took on responsibilities for community outreach, educating the public on eye health, and was in charge of all clinic ordering and inventory, ensuring the office was well-stocked and organized for daily operations.
