• From Acutalent’s contract labcorp hired me for a permanent position. I started working at a busy site seeing at least 200 patients a day doing well over 40 patients per person.

• This was a contract for 3 months. This contract helped me learn different computer application like greenway and epic for patients information. Due to these I have became familiar with an appointment schedules and looking through chart for information to help my role as a phlebotomist.

• I started at a quest located with in a doctors office where patients walked in. This location was definitely the easiest a lot of down time. The patient eventually started to know me, there was a lot of weekly standing orders. They grew to enjoy me and the fact I was always there and not a new face each week. Eventually I moved to a patient service center where patients walked in and appointments. Definitely a higher pace which I like. I like connecting with patient and easing their minds before a draw even if it’s a short time. At a psc it’s expected to service patients with in 10 minutes. If done correctly the patient will leave with a smile and gratitude for the service. I strive on what makes the patients comfortable for some a blood draw is the worst thing they can think of.
