  • Optimizing the Human Weapons System POC (Appointed position) Manages a team of athletic trainers, strength and conditioning coach, and massage therapist in order to maintain the wellness of over 150 fighter pilots.
  • Sigma Sigma Phi Honorary Society Member (Appointed position) America’s honorary osteopathic service fraternity reserved for no more than 25% of the medical college student body that demonstrates a high degree of scholarship and commitment to community service.
  • Student Government Association-Social Committee Chair (Appointed position) Budgeted, planned, and executed social events for the ATSU campus including the annual welcome back picnic, winter formal, Super bowl party, etc.
  • L. Linton Budd OBGYN Society Risk Manager (2017, Appointed position) Served on the executive board and assisted in planning and executing workshops, lunch lectures, fundraisers, etc.

Grants

The KOAA/KCOM Education Program Fund Award In 2017, I completed a grant for $5,000+ on the behalf of the L. Linton Budd OBGYN Society to purchase new cervical dilation models and a cervical pathology/pap smear addition for the VICTORIA simulation model to improve learning opportunities for club members and the KCOM student body.

Research Experience

  • Principle Investigator: “Exploring the Effects of Physician-In-Training Burnout on Quality of Patient Care” (January 2020-March 2020)
  • Research Investigator: Scoping Literature of 1,700 + peer reviewed articles to investigate outcomes and training techniques for cricothyroidotomy (May 2020-present)
  • Principle Investigator: The role of voice in gender transition (present)

Academic Electives

  • Interprofessional Health Partners Worked closely with a Truman State University nursing student and communication disorders student to provide in home healthcare screenings and health education for an elderly member of the Kirksville community.
  • Advanced Wilderness Medicine This course included a series of lectures and hands-on applications addressing the skills and knowledge to be able to treat injuries and medical conditions with minimal supplies in remote conditions.
