Perform a variety of carpentry skills including rough in framing, dry wall and finish work.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, repairing and restoring automatic and manual doors as well as access systems to safe function.
Install new doors, door hardware, access control equipment, store fronts and restroom partitions.
Program doors and access control equipment to adhere to safe operating standards and function for custom trained traffic.
Use welding skills for repair as well as fabrication of custom components.
Glaze and repair glass in residential and commercial doors and windows.
Communicate with customers explaining diagnostic findings and outlining repair or service options.
Adhere to company and customer safety protocols and policies to reduce workplace hazards.
Maintain accurate records of service calls, PM inspections as well as safety inspections for company and customer records.
Evaluate door systems according to predetermined checklist and note issues to insure doors meet ANSI safety and operational standards.
Train new technicians on proper diagnosis, repair, installation and safety inspection protocols.
Read low voltage wiring schematics to insure proper and safe operation of doors and electric hardware.
Work on both residential and commercial units for maintenance, repairs, and new installations.
Supervise door installs to insure job completion in a timely and professional manor.
