As supervisor I routinely kept scheduling of cashier and floor workers, managed POS systems and helped with checking out customers. Work on the floor included product intake, organization, and display. I worked closely with other supervisors to make sure the business operated efficiently and that customer issues were resolved.

I oversaw donations and communicated often with customers who were looking for assistance in moving furniture, clothes, etc. This regularly included heavy lifting and hectic organization.

Work required opening and closing thestore, fast paced and neat organization skills, maintaining positive customer interactions, managing money, pricing and tagging products, cleaning the store and creating multiple themed and well organized displays.

I trained new employees on multiple POS systems, and solved tech issues when needed. I was also in charge of employee observations and extensive training in communications or with technology when it was needed.


The work required opening the store, closing the store, inventory management, self-check out knowledge, scheduling and resolving any scheduling conflicts, interdepartmental communications, business calls, and cleaning the store.

The job required consistent and positive customer relations, and focus was placed heavily on good communication and honesty. Often the job required building customer relations through return customers, cold calling, and social media networking.
