Dynamic Physical Therapist with 20 years of neuro therapy experience at Mercy, specializing in TBI. Proven ability to enhance patient mobility through customized treatment plans and strong patient relationships. Skilled in assistive device assessment and treatment planning, while mentoring peers and fostering collaborative care with interdisciplinary teams.
Won the Mercy Service award in 2014- as I served as a full time PT - who was recognized/mentioned most by patients and their families; took on a leadership role on the weekends- often working extra hours so both the patients could be seen and nothing administrative fell through the cracks as well. At the time I did many home evals; and learned so much about implementing home environment into my daily treatments
In 2024 I won that award a second time (first ever feat at Mercy Rehab!) - for taking more of a leadership position as a staff PT with the most experience. I often serve as a reference person and am consulted if a newer PT becomes stumped with how to progress a pt; strange stair situation; ect. I also seek to serve my patients in any way that I can as I keep a clothing stash for those who don't have any; and have a surplus of DME that I issue my patients when they can't afford their own. I also try to give my patients all the time and attention I have; and seek to give good quality treatments that are relevant to the patient
