I worked as a CNA starting from 2012-2016, started working as an LPN in 2016, then as an RN in 2019.
while working as a CNA I learned compassion, patience, direct pt care, how to prevent bed sores, give baths, ROM passive and active, how to properly transfer patients safely and more.
when i became an RN I learned floor nursing, medication administration, treatment of wounds, i took care of a variety of patients, hospice patients, LTC patients, skilled patients, i saw ortho, GI, Respiratory, dementia/ Alzheimers patients. I worked there for almost 9 years and then wanted to further my nursing skills/ education and started working at Cameron Regional Medical Center on the Med surg/ tele unit and occasionally in the ICU as needed.
