A maritime historian whose research focuses on the lives of Black and African-descended sailors in Latin America, the Caribbean and larger Atlantic World.

• OBU History Club, Vice President, 09/01/22, 05/31/23, Organized social events with History professors to promote the History department to other students, gave PowerPoint presentations on historical topics such as Ancient Egypt and the Golden Age of Piracy to fellow history majors.

• Varnum Scholarship, 2021, 2023, OBU Merit award for History majors.
• OBU Mission Trip, 01/01/22, Merida, Mexico, Spent 3 weeks distributing school supplies, teaching science lessons to middle schoolers, and painting rooms in facilities for elderly.
• Bison Glee Club, 09/01/19, 05/31/23, Sang as a bass in various vocal performances on campus and during off-campus tours around Oklahoma and Texas.
• Festival of Fools (OBU Improv Troupe), Co-Captain, 2021, 2022, Performed and led improvisational theatre shows and plays for the student body and Shawnee community.
• OBU Black Student Union, Member, 09/01/20, 05/31/23, Engaged in seminars, lectures and meetings that promoted racial and ethnic diversity on campus.
