  • I started as a hatchery manager responsible for the start-up of a new hatchery from the ground up, commissioning a new feed mill, leading our night shift plant processing team as assistant plant manager, and growing into the plant manager role, complex manager role, and live production manager role during my time at the complex.
  • Responsible to day to day operations, team building, budgeting, profitability, and all compliance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Led the start-up of the hatchery and led the team for three years to develop programs. Later expanded operations to provide chicks to our operations in Nebraska.
  • Commissioned the Feed Mill to obtain initial FDA licensing, initiate high speed grain receiving, and expanded business to feed pedigree breeders in addition to our own birds.
  • Led the processing team to transition from 1st/3rd processing to 1st/2nd shift processing. Developed programs to develop leaders within our complex for succesion planning.
