Dedicated student involved with the conservation and rehabilitation of native wildlife, including hands-on experience with wild animals, such as net extraction and banding of wild birds. Experienced with taking and recording data, as well as collaborating frequently with others in research environments. Familiarity with research structure, procedures, and communicating complex ecological concepts to a general public audience. Adept at problem solving and finding creative solutions.
Extensive experience in handling infant and juvenile wild animals. This includes meeting dietary and medical needs, as well as providing an enriching and clean environment for them to grow and recover. Worked with Eureka High School faculty to convert unused land on campus to native plant gardens that serve as outdoor classrooms and benefit local wildlife.
