Youth/Associate/Worship Pastor

Woodward First Assembly

After a brief family sabbatical, we joined Woodward First Assembly of God in April 2024 as the Associate and Student Pastor. Following the departure of the worship leader, I also assumed the role of Worship Pastor and launched and lead the Young Adults ministry. During this season we trained and equipped the worship team, provided multi-generational leadership, developed an atmosphere of community and discipleship, and invested in developing people to thrive in their God-given calling.

Associate/Executive Pastor Roles:

(Leadership Support)

The leadership responsibilities included reporting directly to Lead Pastor, providing spiritual, strategic and operational support, participating in weekly staff meetings, collaborating across multiple ministry teams, providing support to other staff members as needed, and leading overall church operations and team needs.

(Pastoral Support Roles)

The pastoral support responsibilities included assisting in preaching and announcements, hospital visitation, weddings, funerals, and altar ministry, and supervising discipleship programs and small groups.

(Administration & Media Support)

The administrative/media responsibilities included building weekly sermon presentations for ProPresenter and creating media with Canva, uploading weekly podcast and videos, and assisting with facility oversight and Sunday operations.

Worship Pastor:

The worship pastor responsibilities included leading the congregation weekly worship services, planning and preparing weekly set lists, facilitating weekly rehearsals, recruiting, training, and equipping volunteers, developing emerging worship leaders and musicians, cultivating a healthy, TEAM-centered leadership culture

Student Pastor Roles:

The student pastor roles included leading and coordinating Wednesday night youth services, building and developing relationships with local schools and administrators, managing youth budget and volunteer sponsor teams (recruitment, training, compliance), creating an atmosphere for spiritual growth and discipleship among students, cultivating leadership, Spirit-empowered living, and missions’ engagement, organizing and coordinate trips to youth events and activities (Oklahoma AG Summer Camp, Fine Arts Festival, and Youth Convention)

Associate/Student Pastor

Student Pastor:

Directed weekly youth worship services and organized engaging game nights to foster community among students. Cultivated Encounter Student Ministries, increasing participation from 15 to over 30 students, with peak attendance reaching 40-50 on Wednesdays. Established strong partnerships with schools through coordinated assemblies and crisis support initiatives. Partnered with Louisiana Assemblies of God network to enhance youth team development statewide. Recognized as a top 10 student ministry in the state for STL fundraising efforts in 2020-2021.

Worship Director:

Achieved seamless worship experiences through effective planning of weekly set lists and rehearsals. Enhanced congregational participation by leading worship during Sunday services. Successfully coordinated impactful special services for Good Friday, Easter, and Christmas celebrations.

Kids Director:

Directed curriculum development and scheduling to enhance program delivery. Oversaw media and volunteer teams to execute events like Family First Sunday and Christmas programs. Planned and coordinated kids' overnight retreats to foster community engagement.

Associate Pastor:

Enhanced church operations through effective management of building setups, media van inspections, and event planning, resulting in seamless service delivery. Delivered impactful sermons in the lead pastor's absence, contributing to spiritual growth. Supported families during funerals and weddings, fostering community connections. Cultivated and led diverse teams for ushers, youth, kids, media, and worship, strengthening ministry engagement. Executed successful quarterly all-church events, enriching congregational experience. Streamlined walk-in requests, calendar coordination, purchasing, and missionary scheduling, improving operational efficiency.
