- With mechanical systems we worked in mostly ethanol or corn plants. Working in a pipe rack flying up and installing new piping and with that came cutting old pipe out and flying it down. I also helped in the prep work usually helping the fitter or acting as a “welder helper” while we would bust out a weld to make it go faster. I was frequently bolting up flanges or drilling holes for anchor bolts to set a motor on. Really anything the foreman needed
