Summary

I am a student at the University of Missouri – Columbia seeking employment to help support my education. While I may have limited formal work experience, I have developed strong transferable skills through volunteer work, community involvement, and rigorous coursework. These experiences have helped me build valuable customer service skills and the ability to engage effectively with others. I am a team-oriented individual with a strong sense of adaptability, attention to detail, and time management. I am eager to learn and grow in any area where I may lack direct experience, and I am committed to developing professionally.

Work History

Volunteer

Harvesters Community Food Network
  • Completed Volunteerwork at Harvester's Food Pantry to assist the Community. Included tasks such as checking for expired food, sorting through and organizing food based on different categories, and creating food packages for Harvester's to deliver to families in need.

Volunteer

Coldwater Food and Clothing Pantry
  • Similar to Harvester's, I volunteered at Coldwater to help assist those in the community who need assistance. Volunteerwork included sorting and packaging food for individuals, acting as a "food stand," where individuals would come and grab food they needed, and preparing the building for the next day of operation.

Volunteer

Mizzou Athletics
  • As part of a partnership with Mizzou Athletics, I worked with others on a project to help raise awareness regarding Mental Health at a Mizzou Basketball Game. This project involved creation of flyers to provide individuals with information regarding mental health, as well as resources to be found specifically in the Columbia area, but also broader resources such as the Suicide Hotline. In addition, items with positive mental health messages on them including pens, stickers, and others were ordered and handed with positive mental health messages on them.

Tutor

Underwood Elementary School
  • I worked in partnership with the Underwood Elementary afterschool program to help monitor and tutor the students there. My role was twofold, first to act as a positive mentor to the students there, but also to assist in watching and helping the students there. Activities included monitoring the students and ensuring they were following rules, playing with students to keep them entertained, tutoring students if they needed help with homework, and more.
