I am a motivated and efficient worker with the drive to assist others and ensure that everyone is succeeding. I am known for being a fast learner with a quick, problem solving mind. While I make mistakes, I use them as opportunities for growth and improvement rather than shying away from responsibility.
As a waitress, it is my job to memorize and know the entire menu as well as substitutions and policies we do or do not allow. Aside from bringing drinks and food to our customers, I like to mingle with guests and give them a unique and personal experience. Once the customers leave, I buss the table and vacuum the floors. In the back, I help restock the kitchen and clean surfaces to ensure a sanitary and efficient environment. While the majority of my hours are serving shifts, I have worked a few shifts as a temporary manager and one shift as a hostess. As manager, I ensured that the kitchen was running smoothly and that food was brought to the tables as efficiently as possible. During my hostess shift, I greeted incoming customers, guided people to their tables, and handled the payments.
As the office clerk, my main duty was to restock the office with supplies, run errands, and assist the lawyers, paralegals, and secretaries. I am proficient with grammar and punctuation so they sometimes tasked me with reading documents to find mistakes or errors. When cases were scheduled for upcoming trial, I was assigned to organizing and binding the documents per the lawyer or paralegals instructions. When I had free time, I often organized closets and alphabetized the filing cabinets.
I assisted customers with their needs and worked the checkout station. Sometimes I was assigned to the floor where I restocked shelves, and filled out online pick-up orders. Eventually I was assigned to teach children's crafting classes on weekends.
I was awarded with a Summa Cum Laude upon my college graduation.
Cooking and Baking - I have an advanced knowledge in cooking an baking. Aside from creating and experimenting with recipes, I have baked and sold multiple wedding and birthday cakes.
Sewing and Embroidery - While I originally picked up the hobby to mend and alter clothes, I now sketch and create many of my own clothes. This has branched out into designing embroidery patterns with a program and digitizing them to create unique designs.
Wood Working - I have learned this hobby from my dad who began wood working when he was in college. While I am still learning, I know how to combine geometry and power tools to create unique cuts and patterns. Furthermore, I like to restore antique furniture to its original state.
