I started with Menards as a Order Pickup and Delivery team member, part time. My focus was helping guests, inventory and pulling online orders. I was offered a full time position as a Delivery Coordinator shortly after. I was responsible for scheduling deliveries and ensuring the product was in good quality and correct. After a while as the Delivery Coordinator, the General Manager offered me a 2nd Assistant position. The responsibilities of the position were to oversee the multiple Delivery Coordinators and to ensure that deliveries were going out smoothly. After my first promotion, I was offered the 1st Assistant Manager position. The position added scheduling team members, more guest service including guest issues and general communication and assisting in fleet maintenance.

My title as a Detention Officer, I was responsible for inmates. The following are some examples of my duties

- The booking process, once the inmate first arrives to jail.

- Processed inmates by taking photographs and fingerprints.

- Improved facility safety by performing thorough inspections of cells, common areas, and property for contraband or damage.

- Managed daily operations, including supervising inmate work details, meal distribution, and recreational activities.

- Wrote daily reports and maintained logs of inmate activities and behaviors.

This is a fast paced job and we had to prepare ourselves for anything to happen.

I started off stacking the production line and worked my way up to shipping and receiving. In shipping and receiving I operated a electric rider pallet jack, picked the order and loaded and unloaded semi trailers with poultry. At the end of each night we had to inventory the remaining product for the next day.

Daily customer interaction with varying job duties to include, but not limited to ride attendant, sales, janitorial, laborer and maintenance. Contributed to a friendly workplace culture by encouraging positive relationships with coworkers and displaying excellent teamwork skills.
