  • Responsible for training of the english speaking pilots for the Boeing 767ER aircraft. All Nippon Airlines was transitioning to the Boeing 787 aircraft whose delivery was delayed. However during the transition to the 787 aircraft ANA decided to increase its staffing on the Boeing 767ER. I was hired to manage all simulator training in Tokyo to increase this staffing.

  • I was hired as a pilot by Delta in 1978 after six years in the USAF.
  • I rose through the ranks at Delta to hold among other positions that of Base Chief Pilot in Portland Oregon, responsible for our Pacific flying.
  • In addition, I was promoted to the ranks of Flight Operation Executive management as General Manager of Pilot Standards, responsible for the standardization of over 10,000 pilots. I spend nearly 28 years working for Delta Air Lines

  • I received my commission in the USAF after graduation from the University of Kansas.
  • I completed one year of Undergraduate Pilot Training (UPT) at Laughlin AFB, Texas and was assigned to McGuire AFB, New Jersey to fly the C-141. The C-141 had a global mission including flying into and out of South East Asia during the Vietnam War.
  • Also, during my time at McGuire I obtained my MBA.
  • My last year on active duty was spent at the Pentagon in the office of Congressional Liaison.
  • I separated from the USAF after six years of service.
