ALVIN PATEL

Currently a junior at Saint Louis University pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Engineering in conjunction with a Minor in Mathematics for Engineers. I am very passionate about healthcare and the variety of advancements which can be made in the medical field through the use of medical devices. I hope to achieve a better understanding of how to design, prototype, and test different medical instruments. I believe that my advanced skills in multiple software programs as well as previous work experiences and multiple active roles in a variety of organizations will allow me to be a valuable member of any organization.

• Biomedical Engineering Society, Active Member, Engage with peers about the current field of biomedical engineering as a second year active member attending all meetings and events
• Alpha Iota Omicron, Social Media Manager, Promote all events and maintain all social media accounts for the fraternity. Increased social media following by 18%. Acted as a member of the standards board to hold all members accountable. Held the position of mental health chair and organized monthly meetings with all brothers.
• GatewaytoRAAS, Primary Coordinator, Serve as one of the primary coordinators for a premier dance competition for over 300 individuals. I communicate and plan with multiple vendors to ensure each individual at the event is accommodated for.
