• Designed and launched Kansas City Public Schools’ International Welcome Center and Global Academy, reopening a dormant facility, coordinating budget, staffing, operations, curriculum, and partnerships during COVID.
• Led citywide educational response to Afghan resettlement, coordinating with housing partners, hotels, transportation, interpreters, and district leadership to serve displaced families and rapidly onboard students.
• Implemented cross-department systems to streamline multilingual learner services and compliance, leading to improved service placement and accurate and increased funding as well as placement as well as led a cross-department team in developing a charter sponsorship and ecosystem leadership strategic plan.
• Secured and managed multimillion-dollar federal, state, and local budgets, including securing emergency immigrant funding, writing major grants, and aligning resource allocation to instructional and legal requirements.
